KUALA LUMPUR – To help local SMEs overcome stringent challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Money Compass Media, Max Capital Management Holding Ltd, uLearnMONEY, and Celik Wang have virtually launched the MyMalaysia SME HR e-Fair & Webinar on April 27 via Zoom.
Event strategic partners, the Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO) and MAXIS also lauded the joint organisers’ efforts in the MyMalaysia SME HR e-Fair & Webinar which will run from 27 April and 28 April 2021.
“PERKESO is serious in addressing the manpower needs of employers in the SME sector due to its strategic importance in the country’s economy, particularly on the job creation. Being the backbone of the economy, the SME sector contributes nearly 40% of Malaysia’s GDP and employs almost two-third of the country’s workforce,” said Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohammed Azman Bin Dato’ Aziz Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer of PERKESO, during the launching ceremony .
Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohammed Azman added “As the nation’s economy is on the recovery path, PERKESO hopes that all employers in the SME sector of various industries, to take the advantages of the national job portal, MYFutureJobs in reaching and meeting the talent requirements of their respective organisations. Apart from that, the employers can also benefit from the hiring incentives and training programme under Penjana Kerjaya 2.0.”
According to Ms Amy Seok, Organising Chairman of the MyMalaysia SME HR e-Fair & Webinar, “The digital e-fair aims to reach out to all Malaysians where fresh graduates and job seekers can interact with the recruiters or directly with the potential SME employers.”
With the theme ‘Go Hiring to Recover Your Business with HR Strategies and Incentives’, the event provides a platform in helping SMEs to acquire information and advice on the hiring and training incentives from the Malaysian government.
The e-Fair‘s mechanism includes a virtual exhibition, SME HR webinars, and the SME marketplace. The virtual exhibition presents virtual booths from government agencies, financial institutions, financial service providers, telecommunication providers, training agencies, as well as digital and HR & training solution providers.
The SME HR webinars consist of webinars and talks given by speakers from various government bodies and corporations such as PERKESO, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and Maxis, among others.
The MyMalaysia SME HR e-Fair & Webinar is also supported by Malaysia Literacy in Financial Education Association (MyLIFE), SME Association Malaysia (SMEAM), Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCI Malaysia), National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM), ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF), Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association (MGPA).
